Family favorite when in the Big Apple. No waiting this Thanksgiving morn for breakfast. Enjoyed the Wild Mushroom 3 Egg Omelette and BDNYC Breakfast Special. Eggs cooked perfectly. My omelette was light on mushrooms and heavy on spinach. Prepared more like a crepe with the egg wrapped and stuffed with mushrooms spinach and topped with pesto. Hash browns crispy outside but mushy on inside . Biscuits have delicious sweet buttery flavor and are very dense filling . Had to try the 'classic ' chocolate shake, which was more like weak chocolate milk. If it was prepared with ice cream, it had been whipped to the point of melting by the time it arrived. Liked that it came in a mason jar. If you love dogs, the ambiance makes up for the okay food.
Food was pretty good, but the prices are high considering the quality/amount of food. $17 tip/tax for a stack of pancakes and a couple pieces of melon is a bit rich for my blood. With that said, I thought service was great and the atmosphere is what you expect. Generally would recommend if you need a dog friendly brunch place in the Ues
Truffle fries were really nice flavor, a bit on the crispy side for me but still enjoyable. Got short rib. Quite good polenta. Rib was lacking in flavor but was good and tenderFood: 4/5
I tried what they list on their menu as five hour braised short ribs $27). It had little taste, it was very tender, maybe four hours of braising is enough. The polenta that came with the short ribs had literally no taste. The accompanying spinach was tasty and fresh.
