8th Hill Inspired Mediterranean Cuisine

I honestly have never had a bad meal here. The food is excellent and the wait staff is always extremely friendly. Tonight there was a table of people that were being particularly rowdy and the staff offered us free dessert because of it which was a very nice gesture. Highly recommend this place

Living in nyc for 20 yrs I definitely have my favorite spots listed and 8th Hill is on the top of the list. The staff is super friendly and welcoming , There is always a nice looking crowd there, men and woman so definitely come for happy hour. Great selection in wine as well Now let's talk about the food, first they have the most amazing soup the lentil soup! To die for in fact whenever I'm sick or feeling under the weather I crave this homemade soup. Their octopus is amazing the chicken skewers are also another dish I get , and oh and zucchini pancakes delicious. You can't go wrong with this place it's on my top 5

Loved having dinner at this gem called 8th Hill. I told a bunch of people about this place as soon as I left. Service is really attentive and friendly. We had a reservation and got a table right by the window, but we were told that another reservation was coming in an hour and a half. This was fine because the service and food were pretty quick and we actually never felt rushed. We ended up getting a bunch of mezzes: hummus (tasty and creamy, pita was fire), babaganoush (great smoked flavor and texture), burrata (maybe the best I've had). We also had the Mediterranean salad really fresh and bright. This inspired me to make my own at home. Overall a really great experience. We'll be back!

The food is very good and the large glass windows let in tons of light. The service is pleasant, although last time I was there for lunch it seemed like they were down one waiter to handle the crowd. I can eat the assorted mezze plate as an entire meal. The fried calamari is also excellent: light and crisp. There is a $24 prix fixe lunch which is a good value and has something for everyone. You can also order from the main menu.

What a gem of a restaurant! Everyone goes the extra mile to make sure clients are served well with a smile. The food is outstanding. Some of the best eggplant, shrimp and octopus. Everything tastes fresh and everything shows how much attention they pay to detail. Nothing seems ordinary. GO and try them if you love great Mediterranean food. Even their bread is fresh baked and comes out warm and wonderful.
