There’s tons of tables to work or study, and the crowd is a lot less homogenous than the Freret location. A great place to camp out all day and get work done. I probably spent more time here in my undergrad than the library. The baristas are super friendly too. Highly recommend!
At the end of a cute park, you can grab a quick bite and a coffee. The iced NOLA was not too sweet and can taste the chicory. They were able to accommodate oat milk request. I also got a burrito with home made hot sauce. The size was manageable and not too big. The hot sauce was not the burn off your tongue hot. More peppery and light kick. The space has dark wood with plenty of seating. I think I may stay a while.
My local sister claimed this was the best coffee house in the city and it did not disappoint. Great espresso and coffee options including cold brew and pour overs. Their medium espresso drinks come with 4 shots and large is a whopping 6 shots. There is lots of new seating where people were working on laptops. And a few outdoor tables. The pastries looked appealing too!
I thought my wife had lost her mind when she rolled up with a coffee version of an Arnold Palmer half lemonade, half coffee. Yuck. Then I tasted it, and I was like let’s go get you one because I’m not giving this back. The flavor combination sounds weird, but it’s a delightful way to enjoy a midday cup of coffee in the sun and humidity. The vibes inside were just as nice. Clean spot, quick and super kind barista, and the bathroom is like a mini hidden museum. I spent longer just soaking up the walls than I did going to the bathroom. This place was cool. We’ll be back next time we’re at Surrey’s up the street.
Great food, service, ambiance and the bathroom is super cool
