Came here on the recommendation of a tour guide when we asked about oysters. Sadly they didn't have oysters the day we went, but we wanted to check out a few other items on the menu. We had the gumbo, ostrich chili, and the crawfish mac and cheese. Everything was delicious! The potato salad was a nice change up from rice in the gumbo. The chili was smoky and lightly spicy. I'd highly recommend the mac and cheese my favourite by far! I like the smaller portion sizes so we could try more individual items, but the prices seem expensive comparatively.
Nice Bar, great bartenders, a place with good drinks and unbelievable Oysters and music in their cozy backyard patio, at the best price in town!!
I went on Tuesday evening, staff are friendly, most of people are friendly since my visit 5 days ago!! The oysters ..omg..so fresh, delicious. Simple and yummy, people told me new Orleans oysters are earthy taste, not at all from this restaurant. Honestly, I am very picky with oysters. I had great oysters. Why only 4 stars?!? Because too expensive. LoL. Definitely come back again if I visit this town.
Wow! This was definitely the best food we had our entire trip. Not a huge menu but what we had was amazing. The staff were as nice as anyone could be, the oysters were great and I’d put them above any in NOLA, and yes I’ve been to the so called “ best “ oyster houses here) and the gator sandwich/burger was as well! Found this spot by accident and I’m so glad we did. There’s a short list of places that we do not miss while in town and this place just got added to it!!
