I ate in my time a lot of guacamole (you might even say it's one of my favorite food groups; , and that was the best of color. I will probably go back to get another dosis of it before I leave new orleans. okay, as you know that the guacamole is a must, we talk about the tacos. I have one of the sweet potato tacos (I have left the cheese as I am vegan and one of the cauliflower tacos (the vegan is how it is because it has cashew crema. Both were tasteful and delicious. the atmosphere in espíritu is cozy, welcoming and warm. I loved all plants, the local art (some for sale! on the walls and the funny wall paper. my friend and I enjoyed everything about our visit. my friend and I found espíritu art on a laune. last minute we decided to go for something to eat, and that was the closest place that had options for me (a vegan and for them (an allergic where we were currently in the city. what a great, unexpected sound! and only for recording, my friend second my opinion about the guacamole. do not run to espíritu and order this guacamole now!
So tasty and great atmosphere! a little wait for dinner, but I expect to eat it with good food today. the mais was to die, and there are a few great vegetarian tacos!
This is a fantastic Mexican restaurant! I decided to switch things up from Cajun/Creole for a night and craved guacamole and tacos. This place was just what I was looking for. The guacamole and chips were delightful. I tried the sweet potato taco and the Baja fish taco, and both were outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is casual, and the prices are very reasonable.
I visited this restaurant on a whim, and I was pleasantly surprised. There aren't many great options for Mexican food in New Orleans, but this place stands out. The Cajun queso was exceptional, and the pork tacos were fantastic as well. I can definitely see myself coming back here in the near future.
Friend and his wife brought me here when we had some time to kill before another event. In hindsight, I’m so thankful we stopped in. First, it seems to be a little hidden gem along a nondescript street that honestly looks like it was closed from a distance. When we approached and entered we were able to get a seat immediately at the bar. Our bartender, Zen, was very friendly and an excellent mixologist. She recommended some Mezcal-based drinks for me and my group and we got started. After discussing Mezcal for a little while, the owner, Jason, happened to wander over and joined the conversation and made some really incredible recommendations for things we should try. Every Mezcal we had was better than the last. Because I was also just taking recommendations from the bartender and owner, a little part of me wondered what the bill was going to look like when I left but surprisingly it was extremely affordable. In short, come for the food but stay for the mezcal and experience. The people and the products here really differentiate this place from my average New Orleans dining experience.
