The Housemartin - New Milton

The service at the restaurant was disappointing as the staff were not welcoming and took a long time to take our order and serve drinks. It was later revealed that they were understaffed, leading to the existing staff appearing unhappy. The food took a while to arrive and one of the meals was incorrect, resulting in a lengthy wait for a replacement. In addition, the draught beers were subpar, possibly due to inadequate cleaning, and one glass had a crack in it. The food was average at best, with overcooked vegetables and undercooked meats served lukewarm. Desserts and coffee did not improve the experience. Overall, the poor quality of service, food, and atmosphere indicates a decline in the standard of the House Martin. A better chef, higher-quality beer, and more attentive staff are needed to improve the overall dining experience.
