Bear Town Market Beer Garden - New Bern

This place is fantastic... I was just here for a nand, and I had an absolute blow. I had a bunch of drinking had an amazing time

Bar hopped and came into and it was a disaster. Staff was semi friendly but nothing to indicate good. Place was dirty but the big issue was the beer was not cold.

The PALE GHOST FACE GIRL w/black hair at the bar is very rude. As I waited very patiently she informed me of how many drinks she had in her head. And she WILL NOT wait for me to decide on my drinks. She has no understanding of bartending nor customer service. Even moreso the security with locs is well aware of her poor service, Disgusted.

Bear Town Market is a fun bar with a diverse community and a friendly atmosphere. The only thing missing is food. I've enjoyed BTMs since I started going out in New Bern.

What is there to say beyond, They 're open until 2am. Okay. There are a few more things, there is an outdoor seating area where you can sit at a bench and drink and smoke a cigar. Choice! The drinks are not heavy handed with the spirits, but they 're not the typical drink prices either, clocking in under $10. The big draw here is that I love the vibe. This feels like a neighborhood bar. People playing pool. People chatting it up and laughing. Jukebox cranking out tunes that the whole bar sings along to at times. An array of interesting characters behind the bar with different temperaments, but collectively professional. One night I lost my favorite sweater there. Just walked out without it. The bartender the next night made a beeline to it when they opened up the next afternoon. Most nights we were there a bit past the 2am closing, and the staff was courteous despite pulling long shifts and probably itching to go home.
