Geist - Nashville

Unfortunately, we were left feeling disappointed after our recent visit to this restaurant. A few months ago, we had a pleasant experience and were excited to return for a nice dinner. However, despite making a reservation, we were seated in a loud bar area instead of a more relaxing atmosphere. Our request to be moved was not accommodated. Despite our waitress being friendly, our order was mixed up. Another waitress eventually brought us the correct entree, but she seemed unfriendly and dropped the dish at our table without a word. To make matters worse, the entree was cold. Although our original waitress was kind and understanding, the overall experience was disappointing. It seems like we just happened to visit on an off night, but it was enough to deter us from returning in the future.

The ambiance is fantastic and the price good. Loved the cocktails. Entrees were wonderful. The sea bass was melt in the mouth. Felt our sharables were a little unexpected. The fig salad was a bit too bitter/sweet pairing for me. The tuna crudo is more of a tartare than crudo, and a bit cucumber heavy for me. I am nitpicking though because they were certainly good. I wish I had fought harder for the pork belly and rolls because saw those go by and they looked great. Will come back next time in town to try them.

Parking is a bummer. The free lot is tiny and you will likely pay $25 next door.

I absolutely loved the Champagne Garden. It was the perfect evening to celebrate with friends, enjoying delicious food and drinks.

Trendy place! A little confusing on where to enter. Our server was EXCELLENT. Value for amount/quality of food was lacking in my experience, but I guess you pay for location/status/photo ops. Pretty good over all but will leave this restaurant to the “influencers” in the future. Worth a try though!
