The grilled octopus was excellent, and the potato flan it was on was even better. The mozzarella di bufala was good and served with a large helping of outstanding tomatoes. The fish risotto was rich and wonderful (maybe too rich and copious for some, but I really liked it! The pasta of the day was monkfish with a rich olive oil based tomato sauce. Great flavor for the fish (although it was mostly bone and again, great tomatoes. No room for dessert, but they looked quite interesting.
We wandered in to this crisp little ultra-fresh seafood joint near the wharf in Naples where catches of the day were prominently displayed. We were the first guests and the wait-staff was friendly and attentive, and really hustled even before after tables filled with single diners, a couple or two and a few groups. The fried shrimp and calamari Secondi looked so wonderful that I ordered it for the table as an appetizer! No lemon slices here to squeeze, they provided three quarters of a lemon. It was remarkably good, perfectly fried and lightly breaded and cooked just right and was served with Lupini-an unusual and to my my mind, kicky touch. I had a red and green tomato salad with a very good ball of creamy mozarella and basil that wasn’t a standard Caprese Salad and like the cheese it too exploded with flavors. Although I never do this, I had the seafood Risotto and it was ace! Officially: Risotto alla Pescatora it was seriously crushing. The octopus was delicate: meltably tender and the few shrimp made me want more, but although I enjoyed the mussels, the small clams truly won the day! The complimentary dark chocolate was enough dessert for me in the heat! This is sad, but had to be. So a bustling and attentive staff, nice wine and good conversation made for a serendipitous and delicious Neopolitan meal! Buon Gusto.
This restaurant feels like it's in an unlikely place, but it's easy enough to get. the personal was w professional the seafood risotto one of the best I ever had. excellent food and many locals are coming.
This restaurant exceeded expectation by a mile in every aspect. The service was extremely attentive and professional from Alberto Vinchenso, huge thanks to their contribution to a fantastic evening. The food was extremely delicious and of a high standard, great value too. Would give this restaurant 6 stars if I could.
