I visited the restaurant late yesterday afternoon. There were only two girls working, and it was obvious that they were struggling to manage everything - one on the cash register and one in the kitchen. However, they handled the situation amazingly well, maintaining a smile on their faces as they served customers and worked diligently. I couldn't imagine being able to do the same in such a challenging situation. I felt sorry for them as they seemed stressed, but all the customers were understanding and supportive, chatting with them and offering encouragement as they worked. It was heartwarming to see other customers treating the workers with respect and empathy. This experience truly showed the strong sense of community in the restaurant. A big shoutout to the hardworking girls, who deserve all the recognition for their dedication.
The staff at this restaurant is friendly and hardworking, although they may be short-staffed and underpaid. Despite these challenges, they always strive to provide the best service.
Jordyn is the absolute sweetest and deserves a promotion for beyond and beyond!
I walked down to Starbucks this morning to pick up my mobile order latte. It was 730 on a Sunday morning. There were two other older gentleman sitting there, otherwise the place was empty. I sat down and the stereo started blaring the Hairspray soundtrack or something equally horrible for the quiet morning. I asked the nice young man who served me if it was possible to turn it down a wee bit. I had to repeat my request because he couldn’t hear me. He said of course. The gentleman next to me said ‘thank you’ I said ‘no problem, that music is unnerving for such a nice, quiet morning’. I saw his co-worker talk to him and shake her head when he started turning it down. He then he came back to me and said he is sorry but he can’t turn it down..so I left. I could understand this if I was having a coffee at the Queens on a Saturday night, but that was ridiculous. There were 3 of us there wanting to read the paper and chill. I will walk to the Starbucks at University Village from now on. They play suitable music and can ‘read the room’. Oh, and my Flat White was all foam. First world problem but… it’s Starbucks. Come on
