Big Lake Grocery - Mount Vernon

We decided to visit this restaurant because they had outdoor seating available, but there was only one picnic table that was well-shaded. The restaurant mainly serves as a small deli, beer, and convenience store. The staff was nice and helpful, but breakfast is only served during limited hours. We arrived around 10:30am, and lunch didn't start until noon, so we opted for chicken tenders and jojos with honey mustard for an additional 35 cents. The honey mustard was amazing, and the tenders and jojos were good. They also had a portapotty available for customers. Overall, it had a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere.

We ended up getting chicken tenders and jojos with honey mustard for an extra 35 cents. The honey mustard was amazing, and the tenders and jojos were tasty. They had a portapotty available for restroom use. Overall, it had a nice family-friendly atmosphere.

The service and food at this restaurant are always exceptional. It is our favorite place to dine.

While staying at our family cabin, we decided to dine at The BLG, the closest restaurant in the area. Despite its small size, the shop offers a variety of items for sale including typical gas station snacks, a full menu of hot food, as well as beer and liquor. We ordered 2 servings of chicken strips and fries, along with mac and cheese bites. Within 15 minutes, we were delighted to receive our hot and delicious food. The mac and cheese bites were especially enjoyable, and the generous portions of fries and chicken were satisfying. If you happen to be in the Big Lake area, The BLG is sure to meet your food cravings.

A sweet little load with a phenomenal dish. I didn't expect anything like that when I was over. the mac and the cheeseburger threw me away!
