Over a glass of rose I enjoyed a salad of grilled summer vegetables with goats feta and pepitas followed by rocket pasta (on the menu as ‘worms’ with basil and baby tomatoes.
My wife and I were present for a friends wedding. The view, the venue, service and food just amazing. We would defintely return. Thanks to all your staff for the great food and service.
We only had Tea and Scones here, perhaps a little expensive we didn't mind too much because we supposed it goes toward the up keep of the botanic gardens which are free to visit. The Blue berry scones were delicious and great Tea too. Nil problems with the service.
We really enjoyed our lunch at Tomah's garden. It was a gorgeous sunny winter afternoon.... The food was delicious and the view was amazing! The service could have been a little better but it didn't detract from our delightful experience!
Loved it bookings highly recommended. We read all the reviews on TripAdvisor before we went as we believe in researching where we eat we are SO glad that we kept an open mind and did not take these reviews as a final judgement of this restaurant and that we came to see .... taste for ourselves !!<br/ We had lunch there today; we were seated promptly we HAD booked and we would definitely recommend that; there are so many walk ins who sadly had to wait... the wait staff were efficient; our menus were presented and the drinks we ordered arrived within minutes.<br/ The menu is concise but there is still plenty of choice, we both chose the Duck Liver Pate; which was generous, smooth and delicious with crunchy crackers. We then had the 'Chook ' and the Pot Pie, again both were very generous portions and faultless the side of vegetables with the chicken included home grown Rainbow Chard which looked and tasted gorgeous. The corn fed chicken was golden, and incredibly juicy, the potatoes crunchy and the gravy had a warm subtle tarragon flavour. The Pot Pie ? Can 't talk eating !! For dessert well .....you have to don 't you ?? ! We had the Raspberry Jelly and the Baked Custard, again both beautifully presented and they tasted as good if not better than they looked; slightly sharp jelly and smooth ice cream the creamiest ever baked custard with syrupy rhubarb and a light crumbly pistachio shortbread...........just perfect....good coffee to finish .....happy, very happy......................and just a l i t t l e bit full !!<br/ We were seated very close to the front door and witnessed firsthand just how popular this restaurant is; a continuous queue of people all wishing they had booked.......Front of House was extremely diplomatic and patient with this.... obviously constant dilemma, and managed to seat everyone as soon as tables became available.<br/ OUR experience here at Mount Tomah Restaurant was wonderful and one that we will be repeating as soon as we possibly can............and we will be forever glad that we did not rely solely on reviews to guide us to a venue with great food, lovely atmosphere and awesome views we just might try to walk it off next time and enjoy the gardens too many thanks to all.
