This time we went on a Wednesday just in time to get drinks on happy hour. We had the prickly pear margarita and the pomegranate martini. So. Good. My husband had the ribeye, medium rare with rosemary fries and a salad. He ate every bite happily. I ordered the mezzaluna and with the it was delicious. I got the sausage lentil soup as a side and just had them package it up to go bc I knew I would be too full to eat it all. I love that soup. Then we asked for a small sliver of strawberry cheesecake to share and they brought us a big hunk of love. We took the left over to our babysitter (my oldest daughter).
Carrabba's is a good chain Italian place. My friend and I attended this week because we were craving the delicious Caesar salad. We intended to get the dish as a main course, but upon seeing it was $15+ while the side was $4.99, we decided against it. Particularly because they are the same size, just the other one has chicken. The dressing appeared different than in the last, more liquid than in the past, though still delicious. The serving size seemed smaller than usual, the plate was not cold like it used to be in the past, and our server did not offer fresh cheese or pepper as typical. But that was okay. We ordered the Johnny which is the steak with mushrooms and a chicken breast with goat cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, and basil. This dish was good, as always. Garlic mashed potatoes on point. Because it's so big, my friend and I split this dish. We noticed afterward that our waiter did not ask how we wanted our steak cooked. It was cooked well done, which luckily we were okay with and actually prefer, though recognized that others may be unhappy with this choice. All in all, the food was delicious and it was just what we were looking for. That said, it was $40 for us to split one entree with one extra side salad. That is a lot of money for one entree from a chain restaurant.
Been here a few times the food varies. Last time we went, it was during a week night, so it wasn't crowded we were promptly seated. Our server was fairly friendly service was consistent. My husband felt that his pasta was a little bland, but not bad. My chicken was pretty tasty. Overall not bad. We don't go here all that often it will probably stay that way.
Decided to go here based on a coupon savings. A great maître d' showed us to our seat. We requested to be in the bar area. It was very cozy and clean. Our waiter was very nice. Young and full of energy. He was very helpful and attentive. We ordered a simple pepperoni pizza to see what they offered. At $14 we assumed it to be at least a 13 inch pizza. This came out of the kitchen no more than eight inches. Small, but full of flavor. The entire pizza was gone in no time. It was delicious. But oh so small. The cocktails were only $5 for a nice scotch. A decent pour of a red blend was $8. For a chain, I thought their prices were too high. But, our server was great and the food very tasty.
Ok so this place has great service and the food is ok. I have to say that it is not very easy to find off the main road. They have great parking, however every time I go in there the place is not busy at all. The food is always hot and you get treated really well. Stop by and help support them.
