However the service is not as good as it used to be and the value from price paid is less than it used to be. I will just have to find alternatives or wait for discount vouchers.
I have NEVER been to a hungry jacks that has such bad service. Seriously they are so slow there was only 6 people ahead of me and i had to wait over 10 mins to be served and then when i finally got served and got home i was missing the chicken nuggets. This place needs better management and staff given a good talking to not to mention more put on, its not a sunday picnic where you can just chill n take your time. I would hate to see how u cope during peak hour what a disaster that would be. Its not the first time i have had part of my order missing but it will be the last time i go here.
We have on ocassions called in for an ice cream or a thickskake, 9 times out of 10 the ice cream machine isn't working. One of the worst " Crappy Jacks" going- better off going to the motorway services or Maccas for your ice cream. Always looks a bit dirty- poor management in this establishment and full of excuses.
Open late, no all day breakfast but specials permanent on the menu, whether drinks, ice creams, burgers, chips: the "penny pinchers." Store did participate in free refills: softdrink self serve from fountain; coffee's handed back to the counter and water and some packages juices in a display fridge service from cashiers. Loyalty cards pave the way for free coffee's after a number of purchases and there's softdrinks, refills.. either or. Below average queues late night compared to Brisbane CBD to Chermside and other businesses. Also orders are made 'to order' and chips generally fresher. Cashiers are helpful and friendly and the manager on that night was a local and keeps an eye on things amongst late night managerial office work. No complaints about burgers, first 'Angry' whopper and 'fast food apart from local corner store takeaway in a while' and didn't expect the heat. Crunch burger menu item product basic and average i.e. warm but there's crispier fillets sold up the road, a little thick coating for my liking and lettuce as always - scares the customers. There is never any deliver the product and add the salads and the customers come back only to throw the salads out and rebel against the fruit and veg diets anymore; sandwich restaurant entered the scene and there that went. Not overly 'filled' with mayonaise, no need for bibs; and sauce on burger(s) was conservative with respect to heat and spills also. Restaurant was clean and tidy. Cashiers check in on the front service while drive-thru stayed busy periodically. Locals are great; a constant relay of individual friends from a late night working bee maybe never stopped keeping the front of the shop with at least one customer from nearby; and enough parking obviously after the shopping centre closes at night.
I think the reason it's called Hungry Jack's is because there is a good chance you will go away hungry. Called in this morning to buy breakfast. The queue was long and there were only teenagers working in the place. We waited for ages for our order and in the end I asked how long it would be and was told it had been overlooked. I had to ask twice for my money back and the young infant almost threw it at me and stormed away - no apology - nothing. Hungry Jack's used to be good once but I will never go to one of their restaurants again. Perhaps they should save the money they spend on false advertising and concentrate on getting decent staff!
