Ramen-Ya - Montréal

I just want to begin by stating that I have never been to Japan, so I cannot compare the ramen served here to authentic Japanese ramen.

The quality of the restaurant has significantly declined.

There may be differing opinions on the top ramen spot, but I personally believe that Ramen Ya always lives up to their reputation no matter which location I visit.

Les plats servis sont frais et généreux malgré la carte fournie, le personnel est adorable et le cadre charmant. Les cocktails sont délicieux! Un très bon spot pour une sortie entre amis!

I went for lunch this week and ordered a teriyaki dish. When I went to pay, the man behind the counter alerted my colleague and I that the machine was not working and we had to pay cash. The clerk was very rude in addressing us, was not willing to compromise in any way, nor would he refund me $4 for the charge to withdraw money at the closest bank. He did not care that we were inconvenienced in any way because they failed to mention their machine was down before they took our order. The worst part is that we have been regulars, going to Ramen-Ya a few times a month as it's close to the office. The restaurant may be pretty but the food is not so great that I will tolerate that kind of customer service and still return. They have lost my business.
