I took my mother and my daughter for an early dinner on a Friday night. I now realize the age average of our group put us way over the intended clientele of this gastropub. By the time we left around 7, the place was already full. While there was a family with two young children but I wouldn 't call the place family friendly either. It 's a bit small and cramped, and fairly noisy, but comfortable. The menu may seem short but offers various options of snacks, appetizers and entrees. I thoroughly enjoyed my zucchini flan it was delicious and I would eat that again in an heartbeat. The vegetarian burger (made with sweet potatoes and chickpeas) was much appreciated as well. The mac and cheese was declared average. Portions were generous. The cocktail list was imaginative. Coming in, we had to wait several minutes before being approached (there was a ' 'wait to be seated ' ' sign) even though the hostess saw us standing there. We had a different server that was friendly and attentive that made up for the lack of welcome.
We stopped here for a cup of Americano and desserts. Word: MOUTHWATERING! we ordered the Salted Caramel Ice cream crepe and Tiramisu. They were both delicious but out of the two, the salted caramel was my favourite! I can imagine the food also would be delicious. Very friendly service and was also bilingual.
I purchased a Groupon style promotion, it was described a real Feast!! Valued at $65!! ended up been 2 cocktails and 5 tappas in one plate!! When I presented the server with my deception, he simply looked at me and said ' '...well mam, you only paid $35...! ' ' With no regrets he said or any point in making this right....anyhow, I am not going back there!
We stayed at a place walking distance from here and were looking for somewhere to eat and be out on a Friday night despite the rain. Had the pulled pork with fries and a couple of pints of Guinness. We were pretty happy with both our food and drink and the waitress was helpful and attentive.
Went there with friends for brunch. It was amazing. One of the best breakfast I had in a long time. I strongly recommend.
