Gave him big tip as felt guilty of how cheap it was. Thxs for keeping price down and serving great food
The food was absolutely delicious. The portions are generous and you can tell it’s homemade in a way you havent tasted since your parents cooked for you. For $15 you get a pre fix type dinner with a choice of appetizer, entree, dessert, and drink. The owner is a friendly down to earth guy to chat with about any variety of topics. I can’t recommend this place enough.
This restaurant surprises me! When I arrived there, I realize that was only one person working there, as the waiter and the chef at the same time. Crazy guy, the owner (too) didn't take note of our order, instead of a table with 5 people!! And more, there is no menu, they serve what they have available! However, everything arrived correctly and on time! Salad or soup, main dish and desert with coffee. Everything for $15! The only restriction I have is the strong oil smell.
Puca Puca on St Laurent was a gem. The menu is somewhat limited but offers enough variety that our vegetarian daughter was able to enjoy more than just a salad! For $15/person, you got a starter, main course, dessert and coffee! I had lamb chops along with seasonal vegetables and rice. My wife had trout. All was good! The owner/waiter/chef/busman was a very friendly chap who provided excellent service. We’ll definitely be back.
We had an amazing lunch here and would really recommend it! Don't be fooled by the nondescript exterior, this is a place you must go for lunch in Montreal. We immediately felt welcomed and put at ease by the owner who was running the whole place by himself. There's not really a menu but he explained how it all worked. We had vegetable soup to start which was lovely and hearty and then he gave us a choice between chicken in peanut sauce, fish, sausages or meatballs. Food is made to order and is excellent very generous portions as well. We were a group of 3 and all chose something different the chicken, the sausages and the tilapia were all beautifully cooked and came with lovely salad, black beans and rice. You will not leave feeling hungry! And then we were offered a drink either tea, coffee or soda as well as cookies for dessert. The best thing about this meal was that 3 courses and a drink only came to $8 each! We have never come across such incredible value for money.
