We order take out given all the bad reviews on the quality of the service. Food was really good, a bit on the spicy side. We ordered: samosa, onion baji, naan bread, chicken butter, chicken tikka masala, saag chicken and bhindi masala and everything was succulent! Delivery took about 40 minutes, which was reasonable given that it was a Friday at 6. We will definitely order back.
This is by far the best indian restaurant in the southwest borough of montreal , verdun etc,A young family running this great little no nonsense , byob resto.Fresh ingredients and the best samosas I have ever had except when my indian side of my family serves themVery popular , you have to reserve on weekends
Great food, great service and of course great value :) The menu is very detailed and varied. Food is full of flavor. Pani puri is recommended as starter.
The Palais d'Ajit is an Indian restaurant situated on a corner in Verdun. Blink and you may miss it! Don't let the exterior fool you: the food here is very good, with a non-stop line of locals coming in and out of here to get their take-out orders. This establishment offers bring-your-own-wine. They will provide you with a corkscrew and will leave the uncorking up to you to do. This was an opening sign of how uninspired the service may be. The staff was not rude but I got the feeling that they really didn't want to go out of their way to enrich the dining experience for their customers. The menu offers the usual Indian fare. The samosa appetizer was a pleasant surprise in its jumbo size and presentation; however, the onion bhaji appetizer had the opposite effect in that they were quite underwhelming. The main meals were a feast, a delicious one considering the generous amount of food for the money. The Palais d'Ajit is worth at least one visit. After that, you can decide whether you want to be a repeat customer or not.
