The dishes were beautifully presented, and the fish was fresh and delicious. If you are a sushi lover in Montreal, be sure to check out this restaurant. Just a tip: they do not serve alcohol, but you can bring your own.
It is just delicious and amazing sushi and Maki restaurant, the service is good and the price is not very high, I can totally recommend this place for the sushi lovers
I will definitely not be returning to this sushi restaurant in my town. The 30-piece sushi platter for two was not enough to satisfy our hunger and cost $47, plus you don't even get to choose what you want, it is already chosen for you. The sushi itself was average, with questionable freshness and treatment. Everything seemed to be drenched in too much mayo, overpowering any other flavors. The tempura dish was mediocre at best. The beef teriyaki was not tender, average in taste, and overpriced. The chicken breast was missing from the dish. Overall, I don't understand the appeal of this place and would not recommend it to others.
We had a sushi platter and it was very good. The service is also good. It is a small restaurant and you should definitely make a reservation.
During our vacation in Montreal, we decided to dine at Kasumi based on its inviting atmosphere and good reputation. The staff was friendly, but the service was slow. Despite arriving before the restaurant got busy, we waited 50 minutes for our appetizers to arrive. The agedashi tofu and beef sashimi were delicious and beautifully presented. However, we were unable to order the sushi for two as we wanted eel instead of salmon. Therefore, we ended up ordering 4 specialty platters with a total of 16 sushi pieces for $45, which we felt was overpriced at $2.50-$3.00 per piece. The food was fresh and tasty, but it wasn't enough for two people. After bringing our own wine, our total bill was $83, leaving us still a bit hungry. Overall, while the food was good, there are better sushi options in Montreal for a more reasonable price.
