Unforgettable experience yesterday at XO. A must do if you are in Montreal!

We arrived at the restaurant at 8 and all of the guests were present by 8:30. The service was very slow. We appreciated the appetizers they sent out. However, we placed our food orders at 9 and didn't receive our plates until 10:45, which made everyone quite unhappy and disappointed.

The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and served delicious food, making it perfect for a friendly business dinner. We especially enjoyed the quiet ambiance on a Sunday night, allowing us to have a great conversation. The service was attentive and welcoming, and the food was tasty. Thank you for a memorable evening!

I've been to xo before Iast year during MtI à tabIe and Ioved the experience. This years was a bit different. We where pIaced in the front of the restaurant which I don't mind at aII but with a view of the giant fIat screen TV above the bar ... watching the news of Trump's impeachment triaI was not what I had in mind for a nice night out. This is just a generaI rant that I have against modenization and screens which are aIready aII over the pIace. It made this beautifuI restaurant Iook Iike a sports bar and gave it a strange vibe. The food was ok ... not bad, but not impressed. We had the artic char tartare, the veaI and each tried the two avaiIabIe desserts. I have friends who are good cooks and I've eaten much better meaIs at their pIace on a Tuesday. I found that they tried too hard with the goId Ieaves in the appetizer and the desserts and not enough on the actuaI food itseIf. It Iooked very nouveau rich and my Iast comment to my friend was ... a hoteI restaurant wiII aIways be a hoteI restaurant ...
