Doca - Montréal

I was not impressed with the service at this restaurant. We arrived for dinner at around 7pm and found that it was not very busy, with only 3-4 tables occupied.

The food was fantastic, the wine excellent, and the cooking creative.

The service was friendly and attentive. Overall, a great dining experience in Montreal.

Had heard good things about the restaurant but was hugely disappointed by the bad quality of the food. Was here for NYE... Ordered the Cod which was really overcooked and tasteless. Sent it back and ordered the mixed meat plate instead. The lambchops which were supposed to be medium came out rare - had to send these back but was shocked to see the chef throw them away instead of just putting them back on the grill (it's an open kitchen and something was definitely not right in there that day) 3rd time's a charm so the lamb came out fine but really wasn't impressed....

I've seldom eaten badly like that upstream! A pitiful service. items announced on the menu that do not find themselves in the plate with for any explanation: that there is no more! and we still charge the full price, without any excuse! a thin wine map where 5 bottles ordered are not available?! to finally be told that "the map is only an indication of what they can offer?"! and what they propose is really not up to, in short a totally missed dinner. all billed at the full price of a 4-star. it was our second visit (see home) and the two experiences were very disappointing. There will be no third time.
