Cafe de la Poste - Montfort-l'Amaury

Had a couple of drinks here. Waitress threw beer on me. She gave a napkin to dry myself. Why not a gesture? Customer service is not so difficult but some people just don’t get it. For the rest: not my type of bar as they are specialised in beer which is fine but beware if not your cup of tea...

The place has had a refit from when I lived in Montfort , friendly waiter , Suppl : of 10 euros per personne for the Foie Gras , 10 euros suppl for th Gambas. The steak frites was OK , Tarte Tatin , not great , had better , the charm of the waiter saved the day ; bill came to 112 euros 40 . TVA was 11 euros 62 . Perhaps little steep for two people, price wise . Overall a pleasant experience , in a small town where Ravel lived .

Well, I would be writing a food review, but was turned away, told by a waitress that they were full as we were standing inside next to three empty tables. She might at least have had the grace to say those tables were reserved, or the kitchen was closed, or suggested somewhere else! Given it two stars because there were people looking happy at the tables outside (which is why I went in!

After a few days eating crazy yummy Parisian food it was time for a burger and they delivered with yummy fries and a side salad to ease the conscience.

Très bonne adresse, la terrasse est parfaite pour passer un moment convivial. Ambiance sympa au rendez-vous, le personnel est attentif et agréable. Le rapport qualité-prix est satisfaisant, les portions sont généreuses et les plats excellents.Rien à redire
