Restaurant La Lanterne - Mont-Laurier

The food lacked flavor. The salad was unappetizing. The waitress mistook grilled chicken for something else and served me bland chicken instead. The vinaigrette seemed to be just whipped oil and eggs, lacking any taste. I probably should have just ordered fries. The restaurant has a family restaurant vibe, but in reality, it's more of a snack bar. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Would give a better rating if only for the food. But service was so so that particular evening, was left feeling it was my fault I did not get what I ordered. Portions are copious and tasty. Other than the expected fast food like burgers and fries, there is smoke meat and spaghetti, the caesar salad is huge, but that is not caesar dressing! Other than some 1/2 portions there is no kids menu. Still worth a try and see for yourself, I would return for lunch.

We arrived to have a lunch, especially coffee and toast. no possibility of having a coffee decaffeinated, yet an excellent coffee machine jura sits behind the counter. the waitress left us time to choose, but during that time there was a swarm of flies that toured all over the restaurant. We decided to leave. the place seemed to me very ordinary, worthy of a third-class restaurant and...the menu, not better.

Classic breakfast. bacon, eggs, coffee, toast and small potatoes jumped, good and fast service. available daylights. I like to do the crossword while eating.

The food is delicious, the service is quick, the restaurant is clean. The poutine is tasty, and the best item on the menu is the hamburger.
