La Barbe Restaurant - Monroeville

I went to the restaurant with three other people. I had a water in my hand and wanted to order an alcoholic drink. As I set my water on the bar when we sat down, the bartender rudely informed me that I couldn't have my water in the restaurant because they sell water and I would need to purchase one if I wanted it. I turned around and left. The restaurant was run down and dirty, so I wasn't disappointed to leave. The others had a drink before deciding to take their business elsewhere.

I recently tried this restaurant for the first time and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. The menu features all homemade dishes, even the mashed potatoes! The staff were incredibly welcoming and even catered to my daughter's needs. I can't believe I had driven past this place so many times without stopping in before. It truly is a hidden gem! Not to mention, the prices are very reasonable. I will definitely be returning.

I ordered takeout from their special that included a soup, but they did not give me the soup. When I returned to complain, they laughed at me when I asked about it. They gave me a salad as a replacement, but should I have to ask for the supplements that were already offered? I do not appreciate this kind of service and I will not be returning to a place that makes the customer responsible for receiving what they offer. They need to get their act together.

Great drinks with friends, guys played pool. Ladies caught up. Thank you Alta for your nice service.
