Taqueria La Unica - Monroe

I have eaten in this restaurant almost every week for the last six years! The food is always excellent and in six years they have rarely given me the wrong order or not prepared food exactly as I wished. You bring four different salsas, a bowl of queso blanco, pico de gallo and tortilla chips for free while browsing the menu. Service is always fast and friendly, even if the restaurant is busy and there is sometimes a line out of the door. I recommend this restaurant... my favorite combo court is the Speedy Gonzales muy bueno!

Good food. As authentic as you become. Had the chorizo and Ei Torta. The bread was really good and the four or five salsas they brought to the warm queso blanco in ADDITION were all brilliant. And the biggest tortilla chips in history! Come back, that's safe! I have to try!!

From Los Angeles. Also to be Mexican and Puerto Rican, except Mexican food from my own kitchen La Unica in MONROE is the best we had. So cheap. Genuine Mexican food. The Indian Trail... Not so much, although it's pretty close to my house, we drive out our way to get to Monroe. Someone used to write, they don't have crispy tacos... Ummm such authentic Mexican tacos don't come crispy, you can go to the Tacoglocke.

Chicken Salad. Lowest calorie option I've found here. Super delicious smothered in the salsas they bring out!

The food is GREAT that's why it is so busy all of the time. I like the Carne Asada tacos.
