It was holiday time on the Saturday we dined, and adding to the crowd at the club, on the night there was a INXS Tribute band playing. Expecting...a long wait after ordering, meals came very quickly to our table. Partner chose the Salad of Hot Smoked Atlantic Salad. Came with beetroot, spinach, pine nuts, Persian fetta, baby capers, lemon and honey dressing I chose the very impressive listed Rich River Steak Burger. Caramelised onions, bush tomato relish, home-made cucumber pickles, crisp bacon fried egg, toasted brioche, fat chips and smoked paprika mayonnaise The minute steak was melt in your mouth stuff. Excellent. Was picked up and returned home from Moama in the club's courtesy bus.
I have not been here for some time , the meals used to be great, but this time it was a let down, my wife and myself met up with three long time friends, I had praised this Bistro on the previous quality of their...food, three of us had the beer battered Barramundi, the batter looked as if it had been cooked three times over, it was greasy and the barramundi ??? was tasteless, probably imported and frozen, two of our party had the crumbed sausages, their comment was passable, Management should visit regularly to look at the quality of food being served up, will not be back unless they they get a new chef
Great food and very friendly and fast service. The upgrade to the premises is also very open fresh and worth the money. Recommend for a great dinner
Its been a few months the last dinner we have had at the club and again great food, very helpful and friendly staff and very quick service. Surprisingly for a Saturday night is was a bit quite we where glad. Recommend to for a great...feed at pretty good prices.
We ordered Atlantic Salmon entree at it was grossly overpriced however my hubby enjoyed it. My South Melbourne Dim Sims were good value at main courses from the specials menu Mongolian Beef was a little soggy but tasted good and the...slow cooked roast pork was delicious , however the veggies were very hard and underdone- the two little emphasis on little! Roast potatoes were perfect. It needed a little more gravy and the apple sauce belonged in a sweet dish. But the crackle was to die for! All in all not a bad meal.
