China 8 - Mississauga

This is our go-to local restaurant when we are craving chinese cuisine. The food is always freshly made, staff is always friendly and goes out of their way to make sure your meal is as expected. Prices are comparable. Highly recommend!

Family and I ordered in from this place, since it's nearby. Yummy, as far as Chinese food goes! Friendly service and prompt delivery, but they forgot the fortune cookies :

My office orders from this place almost every week and the food is always good, on-time and excellent portions. Definitely one of our favourite.

I ordered a Spicy Mixed Vegetables dish and requested it to be extra spicy with less or no oil, as I usually do. The ordering process was fast, with only two customers ahead of me who may have had a larger order. I observed the chef preparing the dish and noticed that he did not clean the wok between dishes. As a vegetarian, I prefer that the wok be cleaned before cooking my meal. Although the dish did not taste of cross contamination, I hope that the previous dish made was also vegetarian. The dish itself was good, with a generous quantity that filled the plastic container to the brim. The gravy had a blend of sweet, sour, and spicy flavors. However, the extra spicy request was fulfilled with dry red chilies, which I found less than ideal as I prefer not to eat whole chilies for heat. I would consider returning to give the restaurant another try. Update: I visited again yesterday and ordered a C12 Combo Dinner, which came with mixed vegetables, noodles, fried rice, and a vegetable spring roll (which I requested to be replaced with plain rice instead of fried rice). The food was plentiful and quite good. I did not taste the spring roll as I suspected it was fried in the same oil as the chicken balls and wings. Overall, for $10 including taxes, it was a good deal.

I must say, the customer service at China 8 while ordering Chinese food over the phone was by far the best I have ever received! I was searching for something to eat on a Monday night and decided to google Chinese restaurants. China 8 came up in the search results and I am so glad it did. Although it was a 15-minute drive from my house, it was well worth it. The wontons were absolutely delicious and the food was cooked to perfection. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!
