Thirsty Whale - Minocqua

We have come to Thirsty Whale for many years as a family and always had amazing food and service! This time was special because my friend coordinated with my family to suggest me in Minocqua, then he surprised me with a dinner with our whole family in the whale! Ella, our server and the manager were exceptional!!! They were so helpful, friendly and excited for us. They took care of my family as if we were her family and made sure we had an absolutely perfect time. They allowed us to rebuild tables so that we could all be together, Ella even put my favorite music on the jukebox when we went to the restaurant! It was so special. Somehow they even arranged that a rainbow appears overhead, so we could get some photos! Thanks to Ella and to the management in Thirty Wal!!!!

Great staff and service with an AMAZING view if you are able to dinate on the docks! Wide selection of menu items. I had the annoyed grouper with Fritten, my son rarely had the annoyed Ahi Tuna Steak with Fritten! Both were amazing!!

Stop on a beer during snowmobiling. Good selection of local beers and your standard offers. Would like to hold back in summer. Bartenders were friendly and there were many seats.

Pretty good traditional American cuisine. Excellent burgers and sandwiches. Delicious crispy fries. Fresh tasting appetizers, nothing to blow your mind, but solid roasted Wisconsin farewell. Service was fast and friendly, despite very busy. The prices were acceptable and the shares were satisfactory. Was here twice and will probably come back.

Classic Minocqua! Been going by this place for 30+ years. The views on the water are great, and there was even a water ski show happening when we were there. It was Friday night so the place was extremely busy. Staff was friendly and kind dispite being understaffed and over-worked during Covid. The food this trip was just ok. I had a burger and my husband had whitefish sandwich. Both were fine but nothing special.
