This native-owned restaurant offers decolonized foods right downtown Minneapolis. The menu is super easy to use, the staff is absolutely amazing, and parking wasn't hard to find at all! Right now, reservations are highly recommended but outside seating is first come first serve, and if you get on the waitlist- it usually isn't that long of a wait. Go with a big group, so you can try a little of everything! I got the garden sisters and the black beans were seasoned perfectly.
This restaurant in Minneapolis is definitely worth the hype, especially if you can snag a reservation. As a vegan, I was pleasantly surprised by the vegan options available. All the veggie dishes are clearly marked as vegan if they don’t contain meat. The flavors are delightful, offering a good mix of carb-rich, sweet, and savory options, though they might not be for picky eaters. Unfortunately, the vegan dishes are a bit low on protein, primarily relying on some beans, but everything is delicious and satisfying. The non-alcoholic house cocktails are also vegan and very tasty. I’ve heard some complaints about the restaurant, but I personally have had a great experience. So, if you're from Minnesota, come with an open mind and enjoy!
The menu is excellent, the concept is unique, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable considering the quality of the restaurant.
I really can't understand why this restaurant is so popular. Minneapolis has fantastic dining options, but this one falls far short. I wouldn't even rate it as average; our meal and overall experience were quite disappointing. The atmosphere was awful—I felt like I was eating in a cafeteria. It seems to me that some people might want to feel trendy by liking this place. The prices were also inflated. I felt overwhelmed when I saw the bill because it felt like such a waste of money.
