Gators Seafood - Milton

Take a gravel road through the forest to a charming cabin by a lake teeming with alligators for some excellent seafood. We were worried we had taken a wrong turn while following the GPS, but it turned out to be a delightful surprise. While we waited for our table for about 30 minutes, we ventured to the lake to catch a glimpse of the alligators watching us. There were quite a few, and the sounds they made were quite unsettling. Once seated at our table, we were able to watch the alligators from the large windows overlooking the lake. My husband and I shared a crab appetizer, indulged in some seafood, and enjoyed dessert. I had never tried mullet before, but it reminded me of catfish in flavor. The only dish we didn’t enjoy was the coleslaw; it was dry and had a bitter taste. The back of the menu shares the story of how the restaurant was established, highlighting its family ownership and operation. We found the prices to be very reasonable. I highly recommend this place, but do visit in the summer, as it's the only time they are open.

I have been lucky to enjoy the best seafood to not mention the only one of a kind of Hush puppies I love or even eat every 44 years of my life from my uncle's restaurant, which I certainly lack late. So if you go down hwy 87 to your holiday destination on the beautiful beaches of the Gulf Coast, make it a point to stop and get a taste of real southern seafood at Gator's Seafood, before you are surrounded by the commercial industry of good seafood yes, but only Gator's Seafood is the best!

I had an amazing evening with friends tonight. The food was fantastic! The service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was wonderful.

The experience was fantastic! Although we had to wait an hour, it was absolutely worth it. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the staff felt like family – they genuinely embody the spirit of being family-owned and operated. They’ve only been open for a few months, but the quality of their seafood was outstanding; you could really taste the freshness. I can confidently say they've won a lifelong customer!
