Shapla Tandoori - Middlesbrough

As a loyal customer of Shapla, I recently had the worst takeaway experience. The food was barely touched, with watery sauce and stale, tasteless chips. I will not be returning to this restaurant.

After waiting for 3 hours, I still haven't received my food. I was informed that it was cooked 1.5 hours ago and was just waiting on the delivery driver. They are now refusing to refund me. The staff is rude. I am furious, tired, and it is now too late to order from somewhere else.

The food at this restaurant was absolutely terrible. I have been ordering from here for a long time, but today's takeaway was the worst I have ever received. I ordered a saagwala without onions, but what I got was mushy spinach with no flavor at all. The dish was watery and I even found eggshell in my rice after a couple of bites. I spent £25 on this meal and I am extremely upset.

We have this takeaway for about 4 years and always enjoy, the dishes tend to be more oily (not watery as another reviewer said) than other Indian takeaways, so if you don't like this, then it's not for you, but if you do, then you are for a real treat. The Naga Curries are my absolute favorite. The staff is friendly and polite. I can't comment on the delivery as I always collect, but I never had a bad, missed or wrong meal order in all this time.

Had a fantastic meal tonight Chicken Madras and Lamb Rezala loads of meat and the sauces were on 10 out of 10
