The Michigan City Sugar Bowl

Had breakfast while waiting for repairs on my truck. Ordered the house special. Wow! 3 eggs, hash browns, toast and a POUND OF HAM. The staff was wonderful. Friendly and courteous. The restaurant was spotless.Food: 5/5

This place has decent food, not great, definitely not worth the price. but the service was terrible. The place is also a bit rundown.Memo's is much better, nearly as rundown looking, but great food and great service. The amount of food for your dollar is also much better.

Stopped by this place on our way back to Chicago. Quaint, nice location, extensive menu, great customer service and delicious chicken noodle soup! bowl of soup was $4.25, omelette (make your own 4 toppings) was $11.95 and 3 eggs your way was 7.50 both came with pancakes or toast and hash browns. Great place if you’re in the area.Food: 5/5

I had the make your own frittata and it was wonderful. The portions were large and even the kids pancakes are huge. Wonderful service as well.Food: 5/5
