Pepitos' Plaza Brickell - Miami

This hidden gem of a restaurant was fantastic. I couldn't find a single flaw with the food or drinks - they were absolutely delicious!

The Arepa La Pelua Wasn?t what I excepted. The Arepa itself was cold with warm shredded beef and cold cheese. Resulting in the beef becoming cold as well. I told one of the staff and they microwaved it for me a bit but the experience wasn?t as expected truly a let down. Not a good experience and kinda a let down. I asked for the manager by one of the staff and they said the manager is in the kitchen. What customer service is that? If someone is asking for a manager that meansthere is an issue.

Big menu of Latin American style dishes-arepas, Parilla, burgers, hot dogs, salads, cachapas, etc. The special chicken burger .... Um... Wow, how do they manage to put so many ingredients between a top and bottom bun? Lettuce, tomato, fries egg, potato stix, cheese, ham, and avocado PLUS 6 SAUCES! Sandwich came out quick and hot. I was a bit apprehensive at first, but was surprised how everything balanced nicely. Clean, modern, spacious interior with outside patiodining. Open late(5 am? for Brickell 's late night parties. Happy to have tried????

We couldn't resist returning to Pepitos Plaza for more. I couldn't resist ordering my favorite, the steak parrillada criolla, but I also wanted to try something new so I got the mini arepitas platter. It was so delicious that I ended up ordering a second platter. I enjoyed all of the options, but here is how I would rate them: 1. Pernil 2. Carne mechada 3. Pollo mechado 4. Reina pepiado 5. Queso Amarillo. My husband ordered the ceviche chicharron, which was mind-blowing and a brilliant idea. We can't wait to see what we try next time.

The arepa is the size of my palm and while it tasted okay, in my opinion it's not worth $13. You can get a full meal for the same price as this arepa, which was nothing extraordinary, just a chicken and cheese arepa. It's basically a slightly larger slider or a McChicken.
