Maroosh - Miami

If you like Mediterranean food you will love Maroosh. The food is great and the ambience fantastic down to the belly dancer on Saturdays. Planning on returning.

Everything was lovely and delicious, except that the waiter neglected to tell us that a small Greek salad came with the entrees and didn't mention it when we ordered an appetizer salad. So we ended up with two salads!

I was recommended to eat at this restaurant, and since by coincidence I found a Groupon, I gave a try. I have ordered a baked Mousaka and a Gyro platter, and both were totally different than what I had at other Greek restaurants. Despite the food was really bad to me, it did not bother me entirely, because I had to accept the fact that I was in a Mediterranean restaurant, and not a Greek restaurant. What really bothered me was I had to wait almost 30 minutes for a check. I can say so because I had to extend my metered parking for 30 minutes just because of the check. I told the manager twice that I needed my check, and he kept trying to get someone else to do it. Finally when I told the bus person that if I did not get my check in the next two minutes, I would simply leave the restaurant, and it was the time the same manager rushed to the cashier himself and presented the check to me. By the way, nobody in the restaurant to even apologize for my wait. I have lived in Miami for 18 years, and I dine out at least once week at difference restaurant. I am just appalled that a restaurant service can be this bad.

Even tough I had a reservation for 2 people at 10PM I had to wait about 15 min. Food was GREAT! and service just OK. Price is also OK.

None of the food was hot when brought out and the meat was dry.
