Coopertown - Miami

We had a fantastic time! I swear there was this alligator that wanted to jump right into our boat! It was so curious and came right up to us! Our tour guide was amazing too—very knowledgeable and made the experience fast-paced and fun! We only spotted about two alligators during our tour, so I’m not sure if I’d do it again. I seem to find many more gators while hiking through the park! However, if you’ve never been on a tour, I’d recommend giving it a try; each tour is bound to be different! Enjoy yourself! I also loved the huge lily pads all over the place and took tons of pictures! I recorded some cool videos, but unfortunately, I couldn't upload them here—what a bummer! The woman who performed with the snake was incredible; she had tattoos all over and was really captivating. If you see her doing a show while you’re there, definitely stop and watch; she teaches a lot in a short amount of time! I was truly impressed by her! She made handling a snake look so easy!

If I had to make one criticism, it would be about the woman at the ticket booth. She seemed a bit overwhelmed and was somewhat curt with the customers. However, I can understand why; the line was long, and some people were complaining and making a fuss over the mask requirements. Despite that, she handled everything quickly and efficiently. I definitely recommend this place, and I’m planning to bring my whole family down for a private tour at some point!

We had an amazing time! Doug was our guide and chauffeur, and he was simply fantastic. He shared a wealth of interesting facts, along with plenty of laughs. We particularly enjoyed the thrilling airboat rides from the back seat and were excited to spot five alligators up close in their natural habitat. We also had the opportunity to interact with other staff members at the facility, like Carlos, and they were all incredibly helpful and friendly. A major highlight for us was getting close to a large alligator sunbathing right next to the dock, as well as the chance to pet and hold a small alligator named Gucci. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we couldn't have asked for anything better!

If you actually want to learn about the amazing ecosystem which is the Everglades, take this tour. If you just want to hurry up and see captive alligators then don’t. Our tour operator Sam was so great. You can tell he really cares about preservation and educating people on how humans can be kind to the Everglades. He answered all our kids questions (there were a lot). We stopped along the way to discuss all kinds of species and yes, we saw three alligators enjoying the sun!

Super fun experience! Not only were tours reasonably priced, but it was super enjoyable. Our tour guide was knowledgeable about local flora fauna and really funny. On our trip out we were able to see two gators! The restaurant has a 5 for $25 bucket deal (beer or seltzers) and you’re able to enjoy them on your airboat ride too. The animal show is interesting to watch once you’re back and you’re able to see more wildlife up close!
