But I didn't get a diarrhea, so you decide if this place is worth a try.
We came across this hidden gem, wow.....great vibe, amazing beachfront view, best Piñacolada ever for sure...and the sushi ? yummy fair price for the experience...a must
Sushi is my favorite food. I've eaten copious amounts of the good struff in The USA and Japan. This is the best sushi I have ever had. It's expensive but worth it. The cocktails are also very good and the setting is great too. But the 5 stars are for the sushi. About the only thing that I could say could be improved would be the A5 Wagyu course. The beef is too delicate to compete with the flavor and texture of nori. I like beef of that quality served by itself. That might just be me though. Other than that though, a perfect meal. The folks giving low ratings felt rushed. The pace felt perfect to me for an omakase. I think those folks just didn't understand the concept.
The food gets a perfect 10/10. Andrew was our chef, and he definitely delivered and incredible experience and some of the best sushi I have had. The food was worth every penny of the $125/pp ticket. However, I would be cautious on the drinks. We each had a cocktail before dinner, and then some sake with dinner and some water. Bottled water was billed at $9/bottle. As with much of Miami beach, the gratuity is added automatically, but this place adds a 22% tip instead of the usual 18-20%. The beers are also $9, so next time I would just go for those instead! Would definitely recommend, just would bring my own water.
So you can really go wrong with this place. the Grandma's experience is not bar. from the time they go, until the time they leave the experience is one of my favorites. the personal is very friendly and welcoming. the chefs are very knowledgeable and give them a great experience. even if they come here to eat, it will change their sushi experience, so they find that regular sushi does not do it for them anymore (really tho.) the sushi quality is fresh and filled. the flight fits well with the Omasake experience. overall, if you want to enjoy a scenic view of south beach with high quality sushi and do not want to spend anything, make a reservation here!
