Love the food, have not had bad experience with any staff but some are definitely better than others

I honestly do not want to even give this place a one star but its the only choice I have. i was an employee there and worked for just two weeks, durin which i worked illegally without my papers, got cursed out, and was treated terribly. I have quit for nearly 2 months now and have still received no paycheck. Everyday I call and leave a message to talk to the manager who never calls me back. I am currently reporting this place to the department of labor, as i know five other people who were not paid, were treated terribly, and hated this place. I was left a threatening voicemail by Guseppi and my mom wont even let me go in because shes worried for my safety. This resteraunt is an absolute trainwreck. Foods good though!

Can I seat you at a bar table? We don 't serve at the bar at lunch. So the hostess seats me, I get a Peroni draft and look at the menu. I order a pizza. After a few minutes, the waiter comes back to the table and says, Sorry sir, we don 't serve the coal fired pizzas at lunch only dinner. I paid for the beer and left. Since when do you have a huge bar and not use it lunch? Since when does a Sicilian restaurant not serve pizza at lunch? The one star is for the beer.

We just had an amazing dinner at Serena! The food was perfect. I had the Salmon with the East Harlem Sauce and my husband had the chicken parm. What made the experience perfect was our service from John. He has waited on us twice at the bar now and we couldn't ask for better. He has an amazing memory! Everything quick and great recommendations as far as food. Just wish the bar was open during the week and that John was here every night.

The service was a bit slow. The food, however, was quite good. They had the best Chicken Piccatta I've found in the Triangle (even if they call it chicken with lemon and capers). The Tiramisu was lovely as well. We also got the bruschetta, which was adequate, if somewhat mild-flavored. Ambience at this location is decent for a date or a group. The lighting is not too low, and some attempt was clearly made at decorating in the style of an Italian restaurant.
