Old School Grub - Mesa

I love coming here, but that was the worst experience I had with every burger in my life. the brot on the burger was so wet and oily falling apart. the flesh in another burger was red and cold. as mentioned I love this place and in the rule are their burgers really good, but I have no idea what was going on with the chef. I hope the owner sees this and has a talk with the chefs and makes the burgers as they were earlier. the owner is a cooler to earth. I hate to write such a review, but I hope that eating will be better.

So we stopped today. we wanted to try the leber, but it was only six ounces. I ordered the Corned-Rind-Special. it was nasty. as if it came from a dose. Cartoffels were dry without serving butter. we ordered the baked potato soup and it was definitiw over salted without taste. husband's fried chicken was slutty inside and evil. the ordered margaritas and they were overly sweet with absolutely no alcohol taste. we sent everything back and went out. save her hard earned money and go somewhere else. thanks for their quick answer. but I would never come back. I've read a lot of cripples. they need a better cooking and menu check

We really wanted to love this place. that's the sadst French toast I've ever seen. there is no mention of speck, or any other meat, in the description so I am not sure how we ended with a piece speck. of course, my 6 year old granddaughter ate her piece brot and then ended my meal.

Was excited to see this place and give it a try. The atmosphere is great and it is also clean. It is cheaper than other breakfast places I usually go to in the area. I liked the food.Unfortunately, our waitress wasn't very attentive. I think they were short staffed so we tried to be understanding. But she never checked on us once during our meal, and we waited almost 10 min to be checked out. It wasn't super crowded, I just think she needs to work on time management. Luckily, another worker noticed and took care of us. He was friendly.I would come again and would still recommend to others.

We have had our eye on this place since it opened a while ago… Decided to go ahead and try it tonight for the first time. Let me preface my review by stating that we really wanted to love this place as we love mom and pop restaurants and I know it is a definitely a different kind of place decor wise. The atmosphere was great, they had karaoke going on. We were sat right away but our waitress did not come to our table for over 10. minutes, the hostess came over and asked us what we like to drink since our waitress was busy. In their defense I did order off the menu wanting to try the peanut butter and jelly burger and my wife got a patty melt, she asked for a side salad to be delivered before our meal. After waiting about 15 minutes I finally got up and went to the hostess and asked our waitress he was up there cashing out a check if we can have our salad before our dinner to her reply was “I have another table who is complicated I will get to your salad as soon as I can… Unfortunately the salad was delivered to the table and then our main entrées followed about three minutes later. My burger was literally peanut butter on one side jelly on the other with a hamburger patty… It was not good whatsoever, my wife’s patty melt was really good and our sweet potato fries and tater tot‘s were lukewarm at best… It was just an overall bad experience with the food not being good and the service not being good, I understand people are shorthanded but we heard another server complaining that it had been a long day so if you have two of your three servers complaining to customers you obviously have a problem. Such a shame because we really wanted to love this place like I stated earlier it’s just not being ran correctly in my opinion.
