La Michoacana - Memphis

Best selection of homemade ice cream in Memphis. Has alot of other really good treats as well. Staff is friendly and the food is all reasonably priced. Inside it's a bit bare bones but this is probably for the best given all the young kids/families withmessy treats.

Took out of town friends here but have never been (didn't go inside as I had a dog, new to the area). Sitting outside, tables were dirty, sticky, and messy. Tried a little of the sweet corn ice cream and what a treat! Will actually go in next time andsee what options to try.

This is a fantastic restaurant! They offer a wonderful selection of authentic Mexican flavors, making it a great spot for everyone. There's plenty of space for large groups, and the staff is very friendly. We visited three times this week with a group of 12, and everyone enjoyed their meals, except for one person who tried the yellow kirsch paleta. The standout favorite was the strawberry cream paleta. There are three different options, and you can't go wrong with any of them!

The ice cream here is delicious! However, I would recommend using milk instead of water for the milkshakes, as they turned out a bit watery. That said, the staff was very friendly!

The line moves quickly, so you'll be served in no time. They have a spacious dining area, and takeout is available as well. You definitely need to check this place out; it's amazing! Be sure to try the sweet corn ice cream, or go for one of the more conventional flavors—everything is delicious!
