Souvlaki Gr - Melbourne

The food is amazing and reasonably price lamb souvlaki was $8.90 and 375ml can of coke was $2.50. The lamb is cooked to perfection it just melts in your mouth. The souvlaki is full of flavour and the chips are really yummy to. The staff were very friendly and attentive making sure everyone was enjoying their meal. I wish this place had come about years ago when i only lived around the corner. This place reminds me of bbqs at greek easter. Finally a decent greek souvlaki in the northern suburbs.

I have been here now on several occasions now and have yet to be disappointed with the great authentic Greek souvlaki being served. Clearly they have hit the trendy market like a bull. The venue is very popular and often very busy but they manage to get the food out quickly.

I came here today with two others on a very cold wet day.. Although our plan was to have a light snack somewhere else in the area, we noticed a street sign saying Souvlaki GR. On a spur of the moment decision, we chose this place. Walked in and a young man greeted us and led us to the table. The bottle of water & glasses followed. Menu given. We ordered the Lamb souvlaki, saganaki (it's a grilled cheese) and Pork souvlaki (included chips in it). The saganaki came first.The taste was a perfect chewy taste, exactly what a saganaki should be. Next came the Lamb meal. The lamb was delicious & tender pieces. They've clearly mastered the science of cooking great lamb. The meat quality was top notch. And the rest of the ingredients were fresh.. the lettuce, onion, tomato.. the pita bread & tzatziki also tasty. Wow.. we cleared everything on our plates! When we had originally ordered, the young man was considerate to tell us there would be a wait in cooking the pork. When it arrived, there were chips & ingredients included within the wrapped up Souvlaki.. the pork was top quality, just as the lamb. We got good vibes whilst here and that's enough to convince us to be return customers. All meals were of appropriate sizes to satisfy our appetites. We left happy and yes.. we will return!

If ypur looking for food that when you close your eyes you'll be back in Greece? This is your place. Serving up authentic Greek food , you cant go wrong. I ordered the Greek sausage,fried cheese, and a souvlaki. It was amazing. A must go.

First time here very vibrant atmosphere staff are very friendly. Greek music playing in the background music.We sat down we placed our order within 5 minutes we had our meals. Best souvlaki we've had in a long time. Lamb was fresh my partner had chicken we could not fault the meals. Great place to eat in or takeaway.
