Nice food visited the restaurant with Nana and children after it stumbled over in China Town. The Gyoza Bar and Momo Restaurant have the same business. The staff was friendly and helpful, but the food was fresh and delicious.
Nice food and nice staff. Lightly overpriced for some dishes, but the Shabu Shabu was amazing and good value.
For those of us who have often lived and excreted in Japan, this place is unfortunately nothing more than a Chinese demolition from a great Japanese court. The taste is okay, but the quality is bad, and the service is shocking, with which...the waiting staff has no idea where you are in the progress of your meal and what is necessary. To round it off, the price is gouging the eye water.... we paid $250 for 4 of us for a meal that is not worth half.... the profit margin is alive and good in this house. Note that the waiting personnel you ask if you want to add 'this' or 'the ' without telling you that these elements will all add to the already exorbitant bill. Save your dollar and go somewhere else.
I placed an advanced order for my shabu shabu set to be delivered at 6pm, but it didn't arrive until 8pm. The staff did not offer any compensation for the delay and gave me misleading information about when my food would be delivered. Despite calling more than 5 times for updates, I was repeatedly told it would arrive within 15 minutes or less. I ended up waiting hungrily in my apartment lobby for 2 hours. The handling of the delivery was unprofessional. I am concerned about the safety of the raw beef and sashimi, as they were prepared at 6pm and not delivered until 8pm. They also missed several items from my order. I recommend trying a different restaurant, as the risk of a similar experience is not worth it. There are many better wagyu restaurants in Melbourne. Despite ordering in advance, the restaurant still managed to mess up the delivery.
