We also always have the prawn tempura which is light and crunchy with a generous serving of five prawns amongst the veggies. All this food washed down with a boy wine is plenty amongst three of us. The young staff are always friendly and up for a chat.
We came upon this small restaurant by surprise when we were looking for a local restaurant to go to for a nice meal out for our wedding anniversary. We found it to be relaxed with good service and the food was very nice. We had gyoza's for entree and beef teriyaki with tempura prawns. We will definitely be back. Good value
The service by the two wait staff is always very good and I have noted that they are good with young children. Our grandson practiced his Japanese on one of the staff! We have been several times and love the food try something new each time. The sashimi platter, the gyoza for example are excellent. We will keep going there!
I 've tried this place twice now at the suggestion of a friend and I 'm not sure I would go back. The food is average at best and the staff, whilst friendly, need to improve (I was the first customer in the restaurant and I was subjected to hearing in detail two waiters ' social lives . The california rolls and gyoza were nice, however, the chicken teriyaki that we ordered was smothered in sauce that looked and tasted like it had come from a bottle. The chicken udon was rather pedestrian with vegetables that looked like they had been cut by a vegetable cutter (carrot flowers . What really annoyed me, however, and I find totally unacceptable is that they bought out our entrees, quickly followed by the mains when we had barely started on our entrees.
Loved their sashimi platter, with an amazing bed of radish with a twist. Best gyoza I've had in ages. Great service staff. Will be back.
