The Kutscherstube is a restaurant with regional Thuringia dishes, at a higher level of execution than in most restaurants in the area, but at reasonable prices. Especially the main dishes are attractive. We had good soups (6-8 euros) and two main dishes: pork fillet (skin fillet, 14.5 euros) with late lice and pork bell (skin bell, 13.5 euros) with potato tipping (Thüringer Klöse) and sauerkraut in cream. The fillet dish was excellent, the meat was very tender and the late zle were some of the best I had. The belly meat was not of the same quality, partly hard and dry, but also not bad, and the cream sour wort and Türinger Klöse were absolutely fantastic. There is a selection of two tap beers: Köstrizer (a very good black beer) and Meininger, the local brand that stands as an excellent light Pils. The desserts were too expensive and not attractive enough to try for us. The service was fast. Recommended for a taste of local cuisine at a high level, but without too high prices.
