Backwoods Grill - McGregor

Bad,bad,bad service. We walked in and the bartender started throwing things and was real mad. He asked us (8 people) if we were going to eat. We said yes. He grabbed menu 's and put them on the corner of the bar and said You 'll have to come get them yourself I 'm not going to walk around the corner of the bar a bunch of times. We finished our drinks and went to the brewery down the street and had a great time. Won 't ever go back.

Stayed here for the weekend to attend a wedding and it was very different from what I usually stay at (as in decor choices my grandmother could have picked out and how small the space is! . I loved the balcony views and how friendly the staff were but I sure wasn?t prepared to pay the full price amount upfront in cash/check. Also know that the walls are thin and you can hear EVERYTHING that may be going on with other guests in their rooms. Overall, it was decent place to stay.

Positive: I LOVEd the uniqueness of it all! I loved the location and the easiness of check-in and check-out. Nice, trustworthy staff who were polite and helpful. Negative: I did not love the smell. I pulled out the old rug that was in the doorway and left it outside, helped some, but the dirt under the rug, telling me the cleaning routine was not the tightest. So I just wore shoes and pretended I was in the old west :

That is an amazing explosion from pastness! it feels like we're back to 1800. I really enjoy the whole experience here. we also try to stay here every year. if you're lucky to land a room, you'll see what I mean, they can just eat, stay and have lunch, or just have a few drinks! this is a specific cultural experience and is by no means the holiday inn. they must love the West experience of my opinion.

Was super excited to go through its unique aesthetics into this restaurant. When I started, I noticed that 3 tables were already occupied on their table with food, a group of 4 at the bar that was ready to leave. Saw at the bar next to the outgoing group with my back to the door. A server recognized my arrival by saying it, just a little busy and giving her time. I said, okay. After waiting for a few minutes, I will soon take the same server with an order behind me. Still, I'm waiting for my turn. I spent my time with another staff doing something with the register behind the bar. She'd go back and show up several times, we kept eye contact a few times, but she didn't talk to me. The first server that greeted me went several times from me and said twice that it would soon be with me. She saw her at the end of the bar that she was wiping her tray at some point. I wonder why she didn't come back yet. As she looked around, there were no new customers more than the ones she took after I was there. A few minutes passed and a few went in, the couple came up and sat by the bar next to me. They were immediately welcomed drinks offered and asked if they wanted a menu. BUT, here I am a little brown girl and has not been offered a drink or a menu.
