The roasted chicken here is always excellent. The potatoes are truly authentic. The location in McDonough is very convenient. The grilled pork is also delicious, as well as the fried shrimp.

This restaurant is not quite soul food, but they do serve southern cuisine. Urbanspoon seems to want to mix two different food styles together for some reason. However, this restaurant is always a good stop on the way to South Carolina. The service is excellent, from the moment you walk in, sit down, and order, it only takes a few minutes. The food arrives promptly depending on what you ordered. During our last visit at the end of November, we tried the chicken fried steak, the meat, and the veggie plate, and everything was delicious. They also offer fried green tomatoes, fried pickles, fried shrimp, Southern fried chicken, and fried catfish - fried dishes seem to be their specialty. Their muffins are to die for, and they even have an "all you can eat" option for them. Don't miss out on their black-eyed peas, they are the best!
