If you are looking for a prime example on how the revitalization that is happening in Newcastle is currently progressing, then you only need to look at all
Love this place and the enthusiasm from the owners and baristas. I know many people are annoyed by no sugar, no byo cups.... but maybe pop into somewhere else. There are lots of places in town to choose from. If you are happy with the locomotives ideology though, you won't be disappointed. Rotating beans from carefully selected roasters and some sweet little treats. Love the loco.
No nonsense, just good coffee this place is a great option. Also open at at really useful times like Sundays (when I need my coffee !)
Summer in Newcastle is hot. Iced lattes (you know the pure coffee with cold milk & ice kind) are essential. Highly disappointing to be told no to ordering a drink that is SO easy to make on a hot day. I appreciate that a lot of thought goes into the "art" of coffee but I'm a local & if I'm going to push a pram a couple of kilometres to enjoy a coffee, surely it's not too much to ask for it cold? It's great that there's such a passion for the delicious drink in this place & being a foodie myself... I get it, I really do. I just think declining people the JOY of their coffee because of "principals" is taking it a bit far. Hope to be able to order an iced latte soon!
