Villa Pizza - Mattoon

We highly recommend trying the breakfast at this restaurant. The omelets are excellent, especially the cheesy western one. My son's favorite is the Biscuits and Gravy. Their pizza is known to be the best in Mattoon, even a simple cheese pizza is amazing. We love their Thursday buffet, which includes fried chicken, pizza, lasagna, and more. This is a great place for families to enjoy a delicious meal together.

A few times, only the sandwiches had so far, but was very good every time. When I go through the city and it's everywhere near the meal, I'm stopping for a sandwich.

We discovered this restaurant through Google while camping at Lake Shelbyville. It was a group of families from St. Louis and Chicago. We were excited to introduce our friends to toasted ravioli, a dish they don't often find outside of St. Louis, and everyone loved them. The pizza was also fantastic - we tried the Villa Special and a classic cheese pizza. The sauce was delicious with a bold, not too spicy or sweet flavor. The sausage on the special pizza was especially tasty. If I come back, I definitely want to try their special pepperoni pizza, as they stand the pepperoni slices up so they get crispy. The prices were fair and the location was beautiful and spacious. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area looking for good food.
