The Dunes Golf Club

If you ever go to matarangi, be sure to visit this place. i went for a holiday to kuaotunu and towards the end of the holiday i decided to have lunch here. this is easily the best meal i’ve had while visiting this part of the north island. I had the chicken wings, and the serving size was huge, and the wings were both very crispy and juicy. it was also so much less crowded than Luke’s Kitchen for example. Definitely recommend!

We were very lucky to have been able to secure what seemed to have been the last table for the night as we had not made a reservation. After a bit of confusion at the outset as to whether they could accommodate us, we had a couple of drinks, a great meal and the staff were friendly especially the young waitress that looked after us! Good menu, good selection of drinks and very popular it seems with the locals.

My partner and I stayed there for 2 nights, we had an absolutely amazing time! The appartment was fantastic with all the utilities, view on the lake and mountains was amazing especially for sunset. Joe was very helpful and kind! We can't wait to come back!!

Had a great weekend away with the lads. Course a bit worn after the summer trade and np rain. But pretty good considering. Got some nice pizzas and better bar service than we had had before. Thanks Simon.

Great resort, very quiet and secluded. Highly recommended if you need a weekend away. The only complaint was the staff weren't fully onto the booking, after a long flight from Dubai, and driving for 7 hours to get there, the reception was closed with two numbers to dial on the door. I rang the first, got no answer. The other phone number lead me to a guy who was away in Australia. But eventually got it sorated. The place it self is to die for. The lake views from the apartment is breathtaking.
