I visited Marion in June, before moving here. The food at Rasta Hut is AUTHENTIC JAMAICAN CUISINE! As a chef, I know it when I see it, smell it taste it! Ive also been to Jamacia a few times so...yeah! The owner is native Jamacian. You GOTTA get the beans cabbage if nothing else! I had wings too that were dry rubbed OUTSTANDING! You 'll be back on those ALONE! Charm was a great bartender/server! Had lots of fun with her a few regulars. The music was loud BUT it was 10PM on a FRIDAY! So it was A-okay! I 'm told by people who 'veived here since they opened it 's not always loud. During regular dining hours the atmosphere is just fine! Did I say beans cabbage yet? ? yvette~ Vegetarian options: Knowing Jamacian cuisine as I do I 'm SURE vegetarian options are plenty. The kitchen staff was VERY accommodating for us so just ask...I 'm SURE they 'll do what they can to accommodate your preferences Parking: Plenty!

We traveled really far through the back roads in the Country to get to this place. The restaurant was really nice had a bar but we got our food to go. We got a variety... We paid $22 after tax for a large oxtail it had 3 dang oxtail and one bone like seriously and it didn't taste like authentic,I don't know who is cooking in there but they need to reevaluate their seasoning and cooking style if they want to capture authentic Caribbean food. The stew chicken was wild tasting and the jerk chicken tasted like pure smoke. I really wanted to like this place but it just wasn't good. Best thing I had was the beef patties. Spent over $50 and was glad I could support this local business but I'd never come back.

Staff is very friendly. Restaurant very clean. Portion size great value for price charged. Hope they start carrying their beef patties again.
