The food at this restaurant is incredibly tasty! The prices are fair and the staff is consistently friendly.
The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious and the portions are quite generous. Offering free papadums and pakora as appetizers is a nice touch.
I was a little nervous ordering Indian food from a place in Maple Ridge when I have been spoiled with lots of great choices in central Vancouver. But I gave into my cravings while visiting my parents in Pitt Meadows. I ordered the Combo for 2, and upgraded to the "large size" for a few bucks. It included Butter Chicken, Beef Vindaloo, naan, rice and two soft drinks. First off, delivery was FAST! 30 minutes on a Sunday evening. Everything arrived still hot and toasty. Second, the flavors were great and very much in line with Indian food I have eaten both in Vancouver and London. I love seeing whole spices in the rice and main dishes, which tells me the dishes have been made from scratch. The flavours did not disappoint. And third, the portions were HUGE, with naan bread nearly the size of elephant ears. So this was really good value for money. My only small complaint is with the Tamarind sauce that I ordered on the side...not as tangy or delicious as I am used to. Honestly, I was very skeptical and did not expect to be impressed (and I am a serious foodie that is not easily wowed). I highly recommend Indian Flavour and look forward to trying more dishes on my next order.
What can I say about my first experience with Indian Flavour? I don`t know where to start to be honest. It was a disaster from start to finish. This first time order was for a home delivery. 1hr maximum delivery time I was told. Well, 1hr 45 mins later (and many phone calls to the restaurant) the food finally arrives. To add insult to injury, the delivery person was probably the rudest delivery driver I`ve ever met! She was horrible.I wish after all that I could say the food was good. Sadly, no it wasn`t. I`d compare it to an Indian restaurant you`d find in a shopping mall food court. Actually I`ve had better mall Indian food. Bland, watery curries. Really gamey tasting lamb curry. The naan bread: Cold (cos it was 45 mins late), soggy in the middle and burned on the outside. The only saving grace was the restaurant owner decided to give us the order for free at the last minute, as an apology, so thanks for that.I don`t think I could take paying $45 for what I received, though. Get a better delivery person too. Avoid this place like the plague. There`s far better Indian restaurants in Maple Ridge. GM Indian and JMK Mahal are very good.
